The chargers of the Blue Smart IP22 family can be used for devices in the workshop as well as in motor vehicles, such as (classic) cars, motorbikes, boats and motorhomes.<\/p>\n<h3>Bluetooth Smart<\/h3>\n<p>The wireless solution for monitoring voltage and current, changing settings and updating the charger when new features become available.<\/p>\n<h3>High efficiency<\/h3>\n<p>With an efficiency of up to 94 %, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard. And once the battery is fully charged, power consumption is reduced to 0.5 watts, five to ten times less than other manufacturers' equipment.<\/p>\n<h3>6-stage variable loading algorithm: testing - initial loading - absorption - reconditioning - floating - storage<\/h3>\n<p>The Victron Blue Smart IP22 12\/30 (3) charger features \"adaptive\" battery management controlled by a microprocessor. Its \"adaptive\" function will automatically optimise the charging process based on the usage of the battery.<\/p>\n<h3>Fully programmable charging algorithm<\/h3>\n<p>With the Bluetooth application, the absorption, float and storage voltages as well as the reconditioning setting and the temperature compensation value can be programmed. After enabling the expert mode, the app allows virtually all parameters and time limits used by the charging algorithm to be changed.<\/p>\n<h3>Storage mode: reduced ageing and need for maintenance when the battery is not in use<\/h3>\n<p>The storage mode is activated when the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V\/cell (13.2 V for 12 V batteries) to reduce gassing and corrosion of the positive plates.<\/p>\n<p>Once a week, the voltage is brought back up to the absorption level to \"equalise\" the battery. This function prevents electrolyte stratification and sulphation, the main causes of premature battery failure.<\/p>\n<h3>It also charges lithium-ion batteries.<\/h3>\n<p>Lithium-ion batteries are charged with a simple initial charge - absorption - float algorithm.<\/p>\n<h3>Fully discharged battery recovery function<\/h3>\n<p>It will start charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts. It will reconnect to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with the internal disconnect function.<\/p>\n<h3>NIGHT and LOW setting<\/h3>\n<p>When NIGHT or LOW modes are active, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 50 % of the nominal output and the Victron Blue Smart IP22 12\/30 (3) charger will be completely silent. NIGHT mode is automatically terminated after 8 hours. A Smart Battery Monitor or SmartShunt will also communicate the battery current.<\/p>\n<h3>Parallel synchronised loading<\/h3>\n<p>Up to ten battery chargers can be synchronised in a VE.Smart network to make them charge the battery as if they were one large charger. The chargers will synchronise the charging algorithm with each other.
