{"id":3001,"date":"2020-03-21T09:57:00","date_gmt":"2020-03-21T08:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/producto\/energy-meter-et112-carlo-gavacci-victron\/"},"modified":"2026-04-24T08:41:35","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T06:41:35","slug":"energy-meter-et112-carlo-gavacci-victron","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/en\/producto\/energy-meter-et112-carlo-gavacci-victron\/","title":{"rendered":"Victron ET112 Energy Meter Carlo Gavacci - REL300100000"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"level2\">\n<h2>Victron ET112 Energy Meter Carlo Gavacci - REL300100000<\/h2>\n<p>The Victron ET112 Carlo Gavacci Energy Meter can be used for four things in combination with Victron inverters:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">It measures energy from the grid, connects to the mains input (Iberdrola, Endesa, etc...) for a configuration of <a class=\"wikilink1\" title=\"assistants: rehearsal assistant\" href=\"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/ess_-_start_page.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ESS system<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Measures the output of a PV inverter connected to the system.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Measures the output of an AC generator set connected to the system.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To connect the ET112 meter to the Victron Color Control GX display, we can choose one of the following options:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Direct connection, either using the RS485 to USB interface with a cable length of 1.8m, or the 5.0m cable (recommended option).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Wireless connection via Zigbee.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"configuration_options\" class=\"sectionedit4\">Configuration and wiring options;<\/h3>\n<div class=\"level3\">\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"media alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/energy-metersschema_-_et112.png\" alt=\"Wiring Energy Meter ET112 Carlo Gavacci - Victron\" width=\"800\" height=\"329\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mains meter<\/strong>: Wiring diagram when used as a net meter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Power Meter PV\/Group Inverter <\/strong><b>generator<\/b>Wiring diagram when used to measure the power of the PV inverter or genset.<\/p>\n<p>These configuration options are set in Victron's own monitoring system. <a class=\"wikilink1\" title=\"venus-os: home\" href=\"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/victron_gx_product_range.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Venus - Colour Control - GX Device<\/a> . Depending on how this setting is configured, it will affect how the information received from the meter is displayed on the COLOR CONTROL screen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"example_diagram\" class=\"sectionedit5\">Example diagram<\/h3>\n<div class=\"level3\">\n<p>In this example configuration, a single Energy Meter ET112 Carlo Gavacci - Victron is configured as a <strong>mains meter<\/strong> and measure the grid import\/export of an ESS system with an AC PV inverter (<a href=\"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/en\/brand\/fronius\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">From Fronius for example...<\/a>). Although the exact output of the PV inverter will not be shown in its AC AC power, this information is still very useful, as it allows all PV output to flow first to the loads connected to the same circuit.<\/p>\n<p>This will achieve the following;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The direct solar output of the PV inverter shall be used as the HIGHEST PRIORITY (e.g. <a href=\"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/en\/brand\/fronius\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fronius<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">The surplus will be used to charge the batteries (The system will seek to have the surplus that we have programmed; for example, 0W).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once the batteries are charged, we will have the option to dump the surplus if we have configured it that way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This can be very useful for making the best use of surplus solar energy if the Victron ESS system is installed as an extension to an existing <a href=\"https:\/\/icide.es\/placas-solares-murcia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">self-consumption<\/a> existing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media
