{"id":43370,"date":"2026-09-12T15:52:53","date_gmt":"2026-09-12T13:52:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/errores-ve-bus-victron-multiplus-quattro\/"},"modified":"2026-09-12T15:52:53","modified_gmt":"2026-09-12T13:52:53","slug":"errors-on-the-victron-multiplus-quattro-bus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/en\/errores-ve-bus-victron-multiplus-quattro\/","title":{"rendered":"VE.Bus errors on the Victron, MultiPlus and Quattro: what each code means and how to resolve them"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Victron investor-loaders (<a href=\"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/en\/product-category\/solar-inverters\/inverter-chargers-48v\/\">MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, Quattro<\/a>) report faults in two ways: by means of the <strong>Front LED<\/strong> and, if there is a GX device (Cerbo GX, Ekrano GX), via a <strong>VE.Bus error code<\/strong> visible on the GX screen, in VRM and in VictronConnect. This guide covers both and adds error code #67 relating to communication with the BMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">LED alarms (without the GX device)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th>LED<\/th><th>Status<\/th><th>Reason<\/th><th>What to do<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Low battery (flashing)<\/td><td>Notice<\/td><td>The battery voltage is approaching the cut-off threshold<\/td><td>Reduce the load or charge the battery (solar, mains, generator)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Low battery (permanent)<\/td><td>Off<\/td><td>Voltage below the DC cut-off (default 9.3 \/ 18.6 \/ 37.2 V)<\/td><td>The inverter restarts when the voltage rises. Most errors 1\u20134 and 7 are caused by failing to comply with this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Error #67: BMS connection lost<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This appears in Cerbo GX when CAN communication with the BMS of a managed battery has been lost (Pylontech, Pytes, ZYC, BYD LV, Victron, Lynx BMS). With DVCC active, the inverter and MPPT units stop charging for safety reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Check the <strong>Type A CAN cable<\/strong> (VE.Can to CAN-bus BMS) between the GX and the master battery. It\u2019s a specialised cable, not a standard RJ45; you can find it at <a href=\"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/en\/product-category\/electrical-equipment\/victron-cables\/\">Victron cables<\/a>.<\/li><li>Check that the correct port on the GX is set to <strong>500 kbit\/s \u201cCAN-bus BMS (LV)\u201d<\/strong> (Settings \u2192 Services).<\/li><li>Check that the master battery is switched on and that the CAN terminator is at the other end of the bus.<\/li><li>Following a power cut, some batteries take a minute to resume posting; the error clears itself.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further details at <a href=\"https:\/\/fvcomponentes.com\/en\/victron-dvcc-what-it-is-and-how-to-set-it-up\/\">DVCC: what it is and how to set it up<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other common alarms in VRM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Low battery voltage \/ High voltage:<\/strong> VEConfigure thresholds or BMS limits. Check the battery profile.<\/li><li><strong>Grid lost:<\/strong> The inverter has rejected the grid due to voltage\/frequency being out of range or because the grid code does not match (Spain: \u201cOther \/ UNE 217002\u201d in accordance with applicable regulations).<\/li><li><strong>Inverter overload:<\/strong> See also: LED Overload.<\/li><li><strong>VE.Bus system: Charge current limited by low temperature:<\/strong> The (lithium) battery temperature is below 5 \u00b0C and the BMS blocks charging. This is a standard safety measure.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reset procedure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1. Switch off the AC loads.<\/li><li>2. Set the inverter switch to OFF and open the battery isolator switch.<\/li><li>3. Wait 2 minutes.<\/li><li>4. Close the isolator, switch on the inverter and then the GX.<\/li><li>5.
